<p>PURPOSE:To enable color copying with a proper concentration, by irradiating a developing agent with infrared rays to measure a transmission factor of infrared rays transmitted through a developer layer for a wet type developing agent and the reflectance of the infrared rays reflected on a toner layer for a dry type developing agent. CONSTITUTION:For a wet type developing agent, an infrared light source and a light receiving section are arranged with a gap layer 0.1- several mm thick, which is filled with a developer and infrared rays and irradiated with infrared rays from the infrared rays source to the light receiving section to measure the transmission factor. For a dry type developing agent, a toner image is formed on an electrophotographic photosensing body according to a pattern and the infrared rays source and the light receiving section are arranged on a toner layer so that the infrared rays directed to the surface of the toner layer from the infrared rays source reflects on the toner layer to be inputted into the light receiving section and then, infrared rays and allowed to irradiate the toner layer from the infrared rays source to measure the reflectance thereof. This enables the formation of an image always maintaining a proper toner concentration for color copying.</p> |
