PURPOSE:To continue the communication without redialing at the time of finding that there still remains a message to be sent after the communication is finished by providing a delay circuit to retard the line release. CONSTITUTION:When a caller and a called party hook on respective handsets after the end of communication, a hook switch 14 of respective telephone sets are opened, respective delay circuits 16 start counting, no line switch 11 is operated during the counting and the line remains closed. In operating a recall switch 19, a recall signal is sent into the line from a recall signal generating section 18. When the opposite telephone set detects a recall signal by a recall signal detection section 20, it is displayed on a recall display means 21, the delay time of a delay circuit 16 is reset to, e.g., 20sec, and if the handset hooks off within 20sec, the mutual talking is attained again and the delay time is set again to 3sec.
