CONSTITUTION:Various information (charging information or message information) from a CPU 5 of an automatic private breach exchange (PBX) is sent to external processing units (EXU) 1-3 from an interface unit (IFU The EXU 1-3 are connected to an IFU 6 and other EXU via a channel (SW) 4 of a PBX. The EXU1 fetches information from a port P0 for the processing and sends the information as it is from the IFU 6 to the EXU 2, and the EXU 1-3 send normality confirming information to the CPU 5 periodically. If a fault takes place in the EXU 2, for example, the CPU 5 cuts off the channel of the EKUI-EXU2 and EXU2-EXU3 and connects the channel of P0 of EXU1-P1 of EXU 3.
