A means for supporting the frame (1) of a recording and/or reproducing apparatus on a positioning surface comprises a plurality of supports (7) of an elastic material. Each support (7) is constructed as an elastic socket, an outer portion (14) adjoining the bottom (13) of the socket, in which bottom a base portion (12) is formed as a locally thickened portion. By means of the base portion the socket (7) can be placed on the positioning surface. The frame (1) carries a projection (10b) whose free end bears against the centre of an end wall (12a) of the base portion (12) situated inside the socket.
