摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To form an amorphous diode layer only by one operation and to reduce the number of pattern masks by connecting one electrode to a node between two amorphous diodes and constituting the other electrode of liquid crystal to be alternately driven by high and low potential levels. CONSTITUTION:When electrodes on the front and back surfaces of liquid crystal LC are defined as C and P respectively, two amorphous silicone diodes 30 are connected to a data line and a selection line connected to each intersecting point on a matrix in the same rectifying direction and a node on the center is connected to the back electrode P of the liquid crystal LC. In order to prevent the liquid crystal LC from the deterioration of quality, positive and negative voltages are impressed to the front and back electrodes C, P at every proper period. When the potential of the back electrode P is turned to the positive 'H' level, display appears and the matrix is formed by the selection lines S1, S2 and the data lines D1, D2. Thus, the reverse voltages are alternately impressed to the surface and back electrodes C, P of the liquid crystal LC at the proper period.</p>
