PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic efficiency and to improve the sensitivity of a head by inserting a main magnetic pole film to the center of an exciting magnetic core part continuously from a main magnetic pole part to eliminate the spacing between the main magnetic pole film and the exciting magnetic core part. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic pole film 34 consisting of a soft magnetic material is formed in the center of a nonmagnetic main magnetic pole substrate 39 of a main magnetic pole part 40 of a vertical magnetic head. An exciting magnetic core part 36 is joined to the position of the magnetic pole film 34 under the main magnetic pole part 40, and winding spaces are provided in both sides of the magnetic core part 36 to join soft magnetic return path parts 37. A coil 43 is inserted to the magnetic core part 36, and a back core 44 is joined to lower faces of the magnetic core part 36 to which the coil 43 is inserted and return path parts 37. The magnetic pole film 34 in the main magnetic pole part 40 is extended to the magnetic core part 36 and is held in the center of the magnetic core part 36 to make the spacing between the magnetic pole film 34 and the magnetic core part 36 unnecessary, and the magnetic efficiency is improved, and the sensitivity of the magnetic head is improved. |
