PURPOSE:To eliminate the stains in an unexposed part even in a continuous process using a stabilization process substitutive for rinsing and to provide the titled material suitable for a quick process by adjusting the pH of the color developing soln. to be used for a color developing stage to >=10.3, incorporating a p-phenylene diamine compd. having a water soluble group as a color developing agent into said soln. and further incorporating a specific compd. into the color developing soln. CONSTITUTION:The pH of the color developing soln. to be used for the color developing stage is adjusted to >=10.3, and the color developing soln. contains the p-phenylene diamine compd. having the water soluble group as the color developing agent; further the color developing soln. contains the compd. expressed by the formula, where R denotes an alkyl group or phenyl group of 1-8C, X denotes a hydrogen atom, sodium atom, potassium atom, lithium atom or ammonium group. The stains in the unexposed part are thereby satisfactorily decreased. |
