<p>An electrical switch actuated by a longitudinally-reciprocable electrical contact carrier (18) for making and breaking a conductive path between stationary contacts (26:26a). Reciprocation of the carrier (18) is effected by a two-piece rocker actuator assembly (36) with one of the actuator pieces (36a: 36b) comprising a removable locking key (36b) which when removed from the actuator assembly prevents movement of the contact carrier (18) and locks the switch in one position - "off" - and thus prevents actuation of the switch to the "on" position. The other piece (36a) of the actuator assembly provides a manually actuable rocker button and is mounted in a housing by trunnions (37) located in openings in the housing and with additional bearing surfaces (44) engaging bearing surfaces of the housing. The switch housing is particularly designed for mounting in a motor-driven tool.</p> |
