PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of an input error by presetting a status table by software, and storing the status codes for every specification item corresponding to codes by countries into a memory by operating ten-key. CONSTITUTION:The specification items are simultaneously inputted by keying in of the data on the specifications of the respective countries and are stored into the memory 3 of respective electronic fare balances 1. The specification item 08 (SPR CE) 'price rounding' shown in the table is of the status code '1' and therefore, the contents 'count fractions of 5 and over as a unit and disregard the rest of the lowermost digit of the display' are set. The status code is a '2' in 09(SDA TS) 'date sequence' and therefore, the sequence 'date month year' is set. The status code is a '1' in OA (STA Ni) (simultaneous printing of measuring label unit' and therefore, 'simultaneous printing non'. The status code is a '1' in OB (SMO NY) 'currency symbol' and therefore, 'f'. The extremely many specification items are thus simultaneously inputted simply by assigning the codes by countries.
