PURPOSE:To prevent the occurring of a disturbance at a winding posture, to arrange the edge end of a tape and to execute the winding by increasing the associated air of the incident part of the wound magnetic tape and loading a magnetic field in the tap width direction. CONSTITUTION:By the air sprayed from a spraying pipe 21, the air to enter between a magnetic tape T wound to a tape reel 2 and an already wound magnetic tape T is increased and a comparatively thick air layer is temporarily formed. The magnetic tape T is pulled in a flange 2a direction at the magnet side by a permanent magnet 19 and deviated smoothly to a flange 2a side by an air layer. The remaining air between tapes is adsorbed by an adsorbing pipe 22 and the degree of contact of the tapes is increased. As a result, the magnetic tape T is wound to the tape reel 2 while the disturbance of the winding in the tape width direction is not executed and the edge end of the tape is arranged.
