PURPOSE:To attain photographing at a proper stop value in an underwater using mode by driving a diaphragm aperture varying means so that a prescribed diaphragm aperture for the underwater using mode can be obtained while neglecting range finding information obtained from an autofocus (AF) device. CONSTITUTION:The diaphragm aperture varying means is constituted of a comparator 106 for inputting a signal from a stop value calculating circuit 102, a diaphragm detecting circuit 101 for inputting a practical diaphragm aperture state to the comparator 106 and a strobe trigger circuit 107. When the camesra is dipped into water and the release operation of the camera is executed, the circuit 102 outputs a stop signal corresponding to film sensitivity to the comparator 106 because a signal from the device 105 is already inputted to the circuit 102. In this case, the range finding information (a proper value is not indicated in underwater) from the AF device is neglected and a fixed diaphragm aperture provided in accordance with only the film sensitivity is selected. |
