PURPOSE:To restrain higher order vibrations of a wire and enable high-speed printing, by providing a magnetic circuit comprising a leaf spring part and an armature, the wire joined to the armature, and a restraining plate located at such a position as to make contact with the armature immediately after printing. CONSTITUTION:With a coil 3 energized, an armature 6 is released from a yoke 2, and immediately after the tip of a wire 9 reaches a printing medium 12, a central part of the armature 6 is displaced toward the tip of the wire 9 although a tip part of the armature 6 is restricted by the wire 9 in being displaced in an advancing direction of the wire. However, since the central part of the armature 6 is located in extreme proximity to a restraining plate, higher order vibrational displacements of the central part are restrained while they are slight. After the energization is stopped, the armature 6 is rapidly returned by an attractive force of a permanent magnet 4 which is recovered, whereby a series of printing operation is completed, and superimposed higher order vibrational components become faint. |
