PURPOSE:To easily search for a sound source location, by arranging a microphone pair at two arbitrary points opposed to a sound source direction and measuring acoustic intensity in each orthogonal direction to perform vector operation. CONSTITUTION:After microphone pairs 3a, 3b are respectively arranged at two appropriate points opposed to equipment generating sound to be searched for, acoustic intensities X1, Y1 and X2, Y2 in two arbitrary orthogonal directions on plane coordinates are operated and respectively subjected to vector synthesis. If straight lines are respectively extended in directions theta1, theta2 with respect to the orthogonal components X1, X2 of the synthesized vector to calculate an intersecting point, a sound source 4 is cleared from the position of said intersecting point. By this method, the sound source is easily searched for within a short time and the reliability of the searching result is enhanced. |
