<p>PURPOSE:To attain the recording and reproduction of a control pulse having the optimum duty factor in which the compatibility of a device is maintained, by setting each of the duty factors of two kinds, long and short, of control pulses at a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When it is assumed that a period from a reference point P1 to the next reference point P2 is set as T, and the duty factor at a data detecting point ST, as T1, and a waveform shaping delay period tau2 in a rewriting current, and a detection delay period tau1 in the Schmitt output waveform of a reproducing waveform, are considered, the positions of a shoter Duty(S) and the point ST between T1-(tau1+tau2)=T5 go to the Duty(S)=tau1+tau2+Ta', and the point ST=tau1+tau2+Ta'+Tb', when the period T5 is divided into three equally. Therefore, when a period (tau1+tau2) occupies below several tens %, the write condition of the Duty(S) goes almost to 25-30%, and a longer Duty(L) goes to T1>T/2, however, if a read stabilizing period tau3 (=25%) is considered, it is strongly recommended to set the Duty(L) almost at 60%+ or -5%, as the result of experiment. In this way, respective duty factor is set almost at 25-30%, and 60%-+ or -5%.</p> |
