LIQUID DEVELOPER FOR ELECTROSTATIC PHOTOGRAPHY

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid developer having excellent uniformity of particles, image reproducibility and electric charge stability by using a resin obtd. by bringing >=1 kinds of monomers which form an insoluble polymer by polymerizing with a solvent into a polymn. reaction in said polymer insoluble in the solvent. CONSTITUTION:This developer consists of the resin obtd. by polymerizing the monomer C which forms the insoluble polymer by polymerizing with the solvent in the presence of the polymer P which is obtd. by copolymerizing the monomer A forming the soluble polymer by polymerizing with the solvent and the monomer B forming the polymer insoluble therewith. An auxiliary solvent is used preferably at 5-40wt% of the solvent although the ratio varies with the solvent or polymer to be used at the time of producing the polymer P. The constitution of the monomer A and the monomer B is preferably 5-50wt% of the entire part of the monomer and the monomer C is preferably 50-150pts.wt. per 20pts. wt. polymer P. The removal of the auxiliary solvents adequately executed under the reduced pressure at <=90 deg.C.
