摘要 PURPOSE:To perform automatic analysis reduced in an error within a short time, by a method wherein the light emitted from a rare gas light source is allowed to transmit through waste water having a reagent added thereto and the light receiving quantity and spectral distribution thereof are detected to control the addition of the reagent. CONSTITUTION:A supply liquid is made to flow in a reaction tank 13 held to 100 deg.C by a high temp. tank 11 and a washing tank 12 from a supply pipe 16, and a sulfuric acid solution, a silver nitrate solution and a potassium permanganese solution are introduced into the reaction tank 13 from solenoid valves 36, 38, 39 to oxidize the oxidizable substance in a solution tested. At the same time, the light emitting from a rare gas light emitting part 14 is received by a light receiving part 15 and the light receiving quantity and spectral distribution of said light are detected and analyzed by a processing unit 25, and the addition of potassium permanganese and the emission of light are repeated until predetermined data are obtained and the predetermined chromaticity of the reaction liquid is obtained to complete measurement. Therefore, automatic analysis reduced in an error can be performed within a short analytical time.
