<p>PURPOSE:To automatically extract information for the conversion from character information represented by a code in the information displayed on a picture by providing a coordinate/character converting part and an up-signal processing part for adjusting the character information obtained from the coordinate/ character converting part to the formation of the up-signal. CONSTITUTION:When one point in a video tex picture display area 4 is designated by a pointing device 15, the coordinate information at this point is fed to the coordinate/character converting part 17. The coordinate/character converting part 17 refers to a character informationmemory 21, when the character indicated in the range in the vicinity of the coordinate satisfies the condition for a key input in the character sequence, it is fed to the up-signal processing part 19. The up-signal processing part 19 performs a code conversion and a format conversion according to the necessity, makes the form of the up-signal 20 and transmits to a video tex information center via a communication line 8 after the modulation by a modulator and demodulator 9. Thereby, the information for the conversion can be extracted from the character information represented by the code of the information displayed on the picture.</p> |
