摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To produce a monoclonal antibody 3EB capable of specifically recognizing a specific peptide, by forming a hybridoma producing a monoclonal antibody reactive with an outer membrane protein C monomer (OmpC) originated from E.coli. CONSTITUTION:A spleen cell of a mouse immunized with OmpC is fused with a mouse myeloma cell and cultured in a selective medium containing biosynthesis-inhibiting agent to obtain a fused cell. The antibody activity in the supernatant culture liquid is screened by an immunological method to form a cell strain producing an antibody having specific reactivity to OmpC and the strain is cloned to obtain a hybridoma. The hybridoma is inoculated on a plate for tissue culture and cultured in a serum-free medium or a serum- containing medium for animal cell culture to obtain a monoclonal antibody 3E8, etc., reactive with OmpC.</p>
