摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent intrusion of outer air component from the circumference of a photovoltaic element panel and to improve reliability, by sealing the outer surface part of the end of the photoelectric generating element panel with thermally contracting sealing material. CONSTITUTION:A thermally contracting sealing material 8, which is attached to the outer surface part of the end of a photovoltaic element panel 5 has a thickness of, e.g., 1.2mm. The material 8 is a thermally contracting tube made of polyethylene, which has a coefficient of contaction of 50% and has a cross section in a ?-shape. An adhesive agent 9, e.g., buty1 rubber having a thickness of 0.8mm, is applied to the inner surface of the outer surface part of the photovoltaic element panel. The thermally contracting sealing material 8 is rigidly fixed to the outer surface part of the end of the photovoltaic element panel 5 by exposing it to hot air or burner flame. The thickness of even the thinnest part of the thermally contracting sealing material 8 made of polyethylene, which is thermally contracted, is 2mm or more. The polyethylene usually fas a withstanding voltage of 17-20kV/mm. Thus, not only insulation property required for large power photoelectric generating module is completely satisfied, but also intrusion of outer air through the end surface of the photoelectric generating element panel 5 is completely prevented.
