PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the rigidity and thermoformability of a molding without detriment to its oxygen impermeability, by treating a molding of a composition comprising a polyvinyl alcohol resin and a polyamide resin with a specified crosslinking compound. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin molding is obtained by forming a molding from a composition comprising a polyvinyl alcohol resin (a) containing at least 70mol% structural units equivalent to those of vinyl ester saponificate and a polyamide resin (b) and treating the vinyl alcohol groups on at least the surface of the molding with a crosslinking compound reactive with the vinyl alcohol groups. As said polyvinyl alcohol resin, a saponificate of an ethylene/ vinyl acetate copolymer is particularly desirable. As the polyamide resin, a copolyamide comprising nylon 6 and nylon 6, 6 is particularly desirable. Examples of said crosslinking compounds include formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, butyraldehyde and boric acid.
