<p>PURPOSE:To keep the speed of rotation of a generator constant by making a hydraulic clutch of first step a slipping clutch controlling an output speed of rotation to be constant as required whereby making that of second step a clutch exclusively used for engaging/disengaging. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic clutch 7 of second step, and is parallel a hydraulic clutch 9 of first step are provided to an intermediate shaft 3 between a main engine 1 and a propeller 2 by way of a speed increasing gear 4 for drivingly rotating a generator 11. And said hydraulic clutch 7 of second step is used exclusively for engaging/disengaging, and said hydraulic clutch 9 of first step is so designed that it can be operated as a slipping clutch too. And the hydraulic clutch 9 is slippingly controlled through a hydraulic control valve 37 and a centrifugal control valve 34 in order to provide a predetermined certain speed of rotation to the generator 11 when the speed of rotation of the main engine 1 is in between said first step and said second step. Owing to this constitution, the speed of rotation of the generator can be kept constant regardless of the fluctuation in the rotation of the main engine 1.</p> |
