PURPOSE:To simplify the char recycle system and efficiently conduct blending of char with pulverized coal, by blending char as collected while maintaining the pressurized state with pulverized coal fed into a gasification oven via a pulverized coal metering hopper. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized coal is stored in storage bins 5, 6 and fed into an oven 1 through bins 13, 14 via pulverized coal metering hoppers 9, 10. In the oven 1, a portion of the coal is burnt, while the remaining portion is gasified, thereby forming a gas and char. These are discharged from the oven 1, and separated by means of a cyclone 17 provide in a chimny 16. The char is collected in the cyclone, and the gas is discharged towards the rear flow side. The collected char is accumulated in a dust-collecting hopper 18 while maintaining the back pressure of the oven 1 and fed into a char lock hopper 19 via a lock valve. If necessary, a pressure is applied, and the char is fed into a metering hopper 10. In this hopper 10, the char is blended with pulverized coal. The blend is fed into the oven 1 through a coal feeder 12 and a pulverized coal carry line 14, where it is burnt.
