PURPOSE:To improve workability and yield and to obtain a magnetic head at a low cost by sandwiching a high saturation flux density ferrite core with ordinarily used ferrite cores to form a working gap to the high saturation flux density ferrite core. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic head has a pair of the ferrite cores forming a main magnetic path, the high saturation flux density ferrite core sandwiched by these ferrite cores and the working gap formed to the high saturation flux density core. For example, the high saturation flux density ferrite core 2 of 6,300Bs is sandwiched by a pair of the high magnetic permeability ferrite cores 1 which are used heretofore and the working gap 3 is formed to such high saturation flux density ferrite core 2.
