A pressure fluid-driven piston cylinder device including a cylinder end which forms the piston rod bearing. The piston rod (15) features a round, non-circular cross section form and works with an opening (22) in the cylinder end (12) of a form adapted to inhibit relative rotation between the piston rod (15) and the cylinder (10). The cylinder end's control unit (20) can be radially compressed through conical adjustment collars (24-27) to effectuate adjustment of the radial and tangential play between the cylinder end (12) and the piston rod (15).
