The invention relates to a residential module of the prefabricated type having a timber frame allowing an arrangement in the form of two cells equipped with beds, a wardrobe and storage space, or a juxtaposition of modules by means of recessed walls for a larger space. It comprises two lateral walls 4 with a frame 13, doors 14 and a step 15, joined to a timber base 3 resting on support points 10, and to a roofing element 6 of trapezoidal shape provided with a ventilation frame and extended by a canopy 17. Among the applications of the invention may be mentioned structures which are capable of being moved and the equipping of camping or leisure sites. <IMAGE>
