PURPOSE:To identify the parameter of a control system with high accuracy without setting a large number of fixed steps by holding an identifying arithmetic value in the section point of the division of a front step stored into an identifying arithmetic value memory device when the identifying arithmetic value exceeds a limit value. CONSTITUTION:In a comparing discriminating device 5, an identifying arithmetic value obtained in an identifying computing element 4 is compared and discriminated with the limit value specified by transcendental information, and when the identifying arithmetic value exceeds the prescribed limit value, an identifying arithmetic cancelling command CN is generated. An identifying arithmetic memory part 6 composed of a reading writing control part and a memory part divides an identifying switch in the computing element 4 for prescribed respective divisions, and stores a fixed arithmetic value in the section point of respective divisions. The identifying arithmetic cancelling command generated from the discriminating device 5 is received, the identifying calculation at the division, to which the identifying step to identify and calculate the identifying arithmetic value exceeding the limit value belongs, is cancelled and the identifying arithmetic value at the section point of the front step of the division is outputted.
