PURPOSE:To equalize the leg length of a welding bead by regulating the rotary speed and rotary diameter of the preceding and succeeding arcs in the prescribed range and by performing the movement control of each arc via the integral position operation of an arc voltage, etc. as well. CONSTITUTION:The rotary speed of an arc that the ratio of the vertical leg length l1 and horizontal leg length l2 becomes maximum is found to take N0. The rotary speed of the preceding arc is regulated to N0-120Hz and the rotary diameter is set in 1-6mm. The rotary speed of the succeeding arc is set to N0 and for the lower layer bead width WL the rotary diameter of the succeeding arc is limited to the range of WL+6mm from the larger part of WL-8mm and 1mm. The rotary direction of the succeeding arc is designated the right turn, etc. for the right vertical plate. In this way, the leg length of a bead is equalized because of the rotary speed of the succeeding arc being regulated to N0. The bead is moreover smoothed with the scooping-up effect of the welding metal. |
