<p>PURPOSE:To regenerate a lithium chloride solution simply, by putting a deteriorated lithium chloride solution having change in quality in a reaction container, adding a given amount of an aqueous solution of lithium hydroxide and separating and removing a formed cake substance. CONSTITUTION:A deteriorated lithium chloride solution containing zinc compound, having change in quality, which is used in dehumidifying coolers equipped with a great number of galvanized fin tubes, is recovered. Then, the lithium chloride solution 3 is put in a reaction container 4, an aqueous solution 5 of lithium hydroxide is gradually added to the solution while stirring, pH of the lithium chloride solution 3 is gradually raised and the addition of the aqueous solution is stopped at a point of time of abrupt rise in pH. Then, the lithium chloride solution 3 is allowed to stand for a given time, treated by a filter or a centrifugal separator 6 and separated into a cake substance 7 and a lithium chloride solution 8. Then, the lithium chloride solution 8 is concentrated by a water evaporator 10 to give a regenerated lithium chloride solution.</p> |
