PURPOSE:To obtain the titled wire superior in high magnetic field characteristic, by arranging a core material composed by arranging thin wall member made of superconducting intermetallic compd. for improving critical electrical current value at high magnetic field to inside of a tube body, to inner part of base contg. the metal element, then applying diffusion heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:A foil 2 made of Ti is longitudinally attached to a element core material 1 made of Sn rod or Cu-Sn alloy rod to manufacture the core material 3. Elements composing the foil 2 are Ti, Ta, Hf, etc., for improving critical current value at high magnetic range of Nb3Sn superconducting intermetallic compd. Next, the material 3 is covered with a tube 4 made of Sn or Sn-Cu alloy and a tube body 5 made of Nb and an oxygen free copper tube 6, these are reduced in diameter to manufacture a superconducting element wire T. Next, the wire T is heated to 600-850 deg.C, diffusion heat treatment is applied to cause diffusion reaction among Ti in the foil 2, Sn in the material 1 and Nb in the body 5, an Nb3Sn-Ti layer N is formed at inner circumferential part side of the body 5 and a superconducting wire S in which the layer N is embedded to inner part of base composed of the tube 6 is obtd.
