PURPOSE:To extract a bit of information of a straight line individually, by calculating linear expressions of two straight lines based on data corresponding to separated respective directional code. CONSTITUTION:In case an image sensor V1 is arranged at the corner part P2 of an object A0, the directional code extracted from a binary-coded image by a spatial filter is expressed as figures described at the column of the P2 corresponding to the attitude angle theta of a graphic. The number of all of the components of respective directional code for the whole of a picture plane are calculated individually, and the maximum value is found out of those totaled values. By finding the combination of the directional code representing the maximum value, a rough attitude can be recognized, and simultaneously, the components of the directional codes of the two lines can be decided. Furthermore, if the components of straight lines (l) and (m) can be detected in them, the component of the directional code of respective straight line can be separated based on the difference among directional codes. And the expressions of the two straight lines can be calculated depending on the separated respective directional codes. |
