PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for D/A corversion by a method wherein a zero-cross detecting signal and a clock are inputted to a counter, an output frqm the counter is memorized, a memorized signal and a cortrol signal are compared and a switching element is controlled. CONSTITUTION:An output signal from a zero-cross detectirg circuit l is inputted to a first input terminal for a counter 2, and a clock is inputted to a second input terminal for the courter 2. The counter 2 is set at an initial value by the signal of the first input terminal, and executes count by the signal of the second input termiral. An output signal from the counter 2 is memorized to a memory 3. An output value memorized to the memory 3 and a control signal controlling an AC power supply are inputted to a comparator 4, and a switching element 5 is controlled by an output signal from the comparator 4 and supply power to load 6 is controlled.
