PURPOSE:To reconcile the conditions of high load, high service life, and high speed required of bearing alloys with each other, by incorporating specific amounts of Mg and Pb to an Al matrix material. CONSTITUTION:Al is used as a matrix, to which 5-15wt% Mg and 5-30wt% Pb are incorporated. This Al bearing alloy can withstand the bearing conditions of high load, high service life, and high peripheral speed by the interaction between Al strengthened by Mg and Pb excellent in seizure resistance and conformability. Therefore, an elementary technique enabling the attainment of a high-efficiency and high-reliability diesel engine can be secured.
