PURPOSE:To easily select a photographic mode and an AV-TV characteristic curve as a photographer intends by mounting a lens barrel by selecting and calling a stored photographic mode and one of AV-TV characteristic lines according to the identification number of a lens barrel when the power source is turned on or when the lens barrel is mounted. CONSTITUTION:The lens barrel 7 is mounted on a camera body 1, a power source operation member 17 is set at its on position, and a power switch SW17 is turned on. Then, a CPU2 is actuated and a terminal s2 is held at 'L' in order to read lens data from the in-lens memory circuit 8 of the lens barrel 7 mounted on the camera body 1 to select the in-lens memory circuit 8. Lens data in the in-lens memory circuit 8 is lens information characteristic to the lens barrel 7 and the lens identification number, open aperture F value, minimum aperture value, focus length, etc., are stored by addresses. The CPU2 sends a signal to a display circuit 6 on the basis of a photographic mode determined by the lens identification number and a display device 18 makes a display. Consequently, a photographic mode and an AV-TV characteristic line corresponding to the lens identification number are selected. |
