PURPOSE:To control an AC side power supply to a sine wave having a power factor of 1 regardless of transient and stationary states by non-interacting- controlling the currents of a p axis in the direction of the combined voltage of supply voltage and a q axis in the direction displaced by pi/2rad to the p axis. CONSTITUTION:A PWM system voltage type power converter 11 is supplied with three-phase AC voltage through a reactor 13 from a three-phase AC power supply 12. A three-phase-two-phase converter 20 converts three phase AC currents extracted through a current transformer 21 from a feeder circuit into p-axis currents in the direction of the combined voltage of supply voltage and q-axis currents in the direction displaced by pi/2rad to the p-axis currents. The currents are processed by amplifiers 22-24, a bypass filter 25, a DC voltage controller 26, a constant setter 27, a two-phase-three phase converter 28 and a three-phase sine-wave generator 29, and a gate signal to the power converter ll is outputted from a gate device 30.
