PURPOSE:To easily produce the titled compound useful as a raw material for synthetic intermediate of carbapenem antibiotic substance, in high efficiency, by reacting an acetyleneimine with diketene in the presence of an imidazole compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound of formula II can be produced by reacting an acetyleneimine of formula I (R is aralkyl, allyl, aryl or alkoxycarbonylmethyl) (e.g. N-dianixylmethyl-2-trimethylsilylethynylimine) with diketene preferably in a solvent such as benzene at -78-+100 deg.C. |
