<p>PURPOSE:To accurately measure axial forces of a rolled stock by making a roll housing freely slidable, selecting a prescribed position among positions at which the reaction against a rolling torque is zero and positions at which the magnitude of reactions are equal to each other and the direction of the reactions are opposite, and measuring loads. CONSTITUTION:Load meters S3 and S6 are fixed at respective positions in the inlet and outlet sides of a housing 45 at which a reaction F against a rolling torque T is zero. Load meters S1, S2, S4, and S5 are fixed at respective positions in the above inlet and outlet sides at which the magnitude of the reactions F against the torque T are equal to each other and their direction are opposite. Axial forces are calculated based on measured values from every load meters. A hydraulic cylinder 49 is set and is elastically clamped to support the roll housing 45 to be adjustable in the rolling direction 7. In this way, axial forces generated in a rolled stock are accurately measured and excellent functions of the three-way roll are effectively utilized.</p> |
