PURPOSE:To obtain the titled developer having improved dispersion stability, redispersibility and fixing properties by incorporating a colored copolymer resin which is obtd. by a specific method to the titled developer dispersed the colored resin in a liquid carrier. CONSTITUTION:The colored copolymer resin obtd. by the following step is dispersed in the liquid carrier having >=10<9>OMEGA.cm electric resistance and <=3.5 dielectric constant. The dispersion solution of the copolymer resin is prepared by polymerizing a monofunctional monomer A which is soluble to a non-aqueous solvent and makes insoluble to the solvent by polymerizing it and a monomer B which contains >=2 kinds of polar groups and/or polar linking groups in the non-aqueous solvent solution thereof. The colored copolymer resin is prepared by adding a kind of org. dyestuff to the obtd. dispersion solution followed by heating it. The monomer A is composed of a vinylether of 1-6C aliphatic carboxylic acid, etc. In the formula, V is -O- or -COO group, etc., Y is hydrogen or halogen atom, X1 and X2 are each -O-, -S- or -CO-, etc. Thus, the developer having excellent storage property, stability, redispersibility and fixing property is obtd. |
