摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce scratches occurring at the time of precision machining, by specifying the amount of oxides of Al and Mg and respective quantities of Si, Fe, and Cr as impurities in an Al-Mg or Al-Mn alloy. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight, <=0.002%, in total, of oxides of Al and Mg, 0.05-5.5% Mg and/or 0.05-1.5% Mn, <=0.20% Si, 0.35% Fe, <=0.20% Cr, and the balance Al and containing, if necessary, 0.05-10% Zn. Owing to the above composition, an Al alloy for amorphous silicon photosensitive drum reduced in scratches occurring at the time of precision machining and excellent in mirror-finish characteristics can be obtained.
