摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled optically active compound which is a synthetic intermediate for prostaglandins, by optically resolving a 4-hydroxy-1(E)- iodoocta-1-ene using a carbamate derivative of amylose. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by the formula (R is H, CH3, C2H5 or vinyl) is optically resolved using a carbamate derivative of amylose, e.g. amylose triphenylcarbamate, to afford the titled optically active compound. The method of optical resolution is carried out by, e.g. supporting the carbamante derivative of the amylose on silylated silica gel, filling the resultant support in a column and resolving the optically active isomer with a nonpolar solvent, e.g. hexane, etc., or polar solvent, e.g. water, methanol, etc., or a mixed solvent thereof.
