PURPOSE:A remedy, constituted of a fat emulsion containing a steroid having immunosuppressive action, useful for treating autoimmune diseases, e.g. chronic rheumarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, etc., having improved activity sustaining property and concentrative on internal organs in charge of immunity. CONSTITUTION:A remedy constituted of a fat emulsion containing a steroid having immunosuppressive action, e.g. dexamethasone palmitate fat emulsion. Since an antibody reactive using an autologous body component as an antigen is produced by an abnormality in an immunological regulating mechanism of a host, a steroidal therapy has been used as treatment for autoimmune diseases, e.g. chronic rheumarthritis or systemic lupus erythematosus, damaging the structure of function of constituent components of living bodies. However, there is a problem of side effect by use for a long period. The above-mentioned steroidal fat emulsion is capable of concentration on internal organs in charge of immunity and and has long activity sustaining action at the parts. Thereby the immunosuppressive effect is produced in a small dose.
