A platform (3) is pivotally arranged on a mast (1). The platform (3) carries the bearings (11, 12) of a rotor shaft (10). The rotor (4) has several rotor blades (5). A gear ring, consisting of a ring (20) with rotatable, axially-parallel pins (21) is connected to the rotor boss (15). The gear ring meshes with the pinions (22) of several generators (6). In this way the transmission gear system of the windmill is of simple design and easy to maintain. By choosing the number of generators the windmill can be inexpensively adapted to the local wind conditions. |
