PURPOSE:To improve transfer efficiency of inorganic fiber and recovery efficiency of charged inorganic fiber, by engraving a specific deposition groove on the bottom floor of a fiber-feeding chamber and connecting both ends of the groove to an air-feeding port and air-ejection port for the circulation of air. CONSTITUTION:A rotary valve for the downward transport of inorganic fiber is rotatably mounted in a fiber-feeding chamber to which inorganic fiber is transferred from a fiber-opening chamber. A deposition groove 40 is engraved on the bottom floor of the fiber-feeding chamber. The front end of the deposition groove 40 is connected to an air-feeding port I and the rear end is connected to an air-outlet port O. The groove is inclined to the fin 37 of the rotary valve and the fin slowly approaches the front end after approaching the rear end when the rotary valve is rotated.
