PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the cell property, by carrying out a charging and pouring sulfuric acid, after pouring silica micropowder to be gelled is dispersed in the water to a battery jar accommodating a discharged electrode plate group. CONSTITUTION:Silica powder which can be gelled in less than the particle diameter 100mum is dispersed in the water, and the solution is poured in a battery jar accommodating a discharged electrode plate group. Since the electrolyte is gelled by charging, or by charging and pouring sulfuric acid, after the solution is poured, the charging property of the electrolyte to the cell is improved, and, since the gas generated from the electrode plate in the charging does not remain in the gelled condition, the close attachment between the electrode plates and separators, and the gelled electrolyte is improved. Therefore, the capacity is expanded, the service life is extended. and the cell property can be improved. |
