PURPOSE:To remove the deterioration of a picture due to the shifting between a brightness signal and a luminance signal by detecting the inter-line correlation of the brightness signal, and outputting a luminance signal which is delayed by one horizontal scanning period only when said correlation does not exist. CONSTITUTION:A low band convertion chroma signal separated by a Y/C separator circuit 4 goes through an ACC circuit 5 and a frequency convertion circuit 6 and converted to have a prescribed band, and further undergoes a band pass filter 7, comb-line filter(subtracter circuit 8, delay circuit 9), and outputted. In the mean time, an FM luminance signal separated by the circuit 4 is supplied through an FM demodulator circuit 10 to a deemphasis circuit 11, and taken out as a luminance signal Y. The correlation of the luminance signals over scanning lines is detected joinly by one-hori-zontal period delay circuit 13, a subtractor circuit 14, and a vertical correlation detecting circuit 15. A switch 12 is controlled to output an original luminance signal Y when said correlation exists but output a delayed luminance signal Yp when the correlation is not existed. As a result, the positional shifting between the luminance signal and the chroma signal in the part where there is no correlaion, is corrected.
