PURPOSE:To improve operability by providing a tilt angle automatic setting means which automatically sets tilt angle of an elevating body energized by a tilt angle commanding means to a command value. CONSTITUTION:The tilt angle automatic setting means 8B is composed of an angle speed detector 7A, an adder 10, relay contact points 12A and 12B, a motor driving circuit 13 and an elevating and driving part 14, for instance. An operator commands only the expected tilt angle from an angle speed oscillator 8A, whereby the tilt angle of a projector 6 as an elevating body is automatically set by the tilt angle automatic setting means 8B. When a ship 2 rocks after the tilt angle in a searching direction is set by the projector 6, the tilt angle is kept almost constant and the searching direction does not widely deviate from a target. Thus, a burdensome re-searching operation is practically unnecessary.
