Problem wastes consist of amputated tissue, aborted foetuses, infectious sections of tissue, carcasses of domestic animals, etc., from hospitals and research institutes, and are deep-frozen and incinerated in appropriate incinerators in containers consisting of chipboard or plastic or in cylindrical incineration containers of solid-fibreboard. Under these circumstances, adverse effects are caused to the linings and conveyor belts of the incinerators as a result of the rapid thawing of the problem wastes with associated liberation of water and the premature incineration of the container base. This is to be avoided by means of a disposable insert to be inserted into the said containers, especially into cylindrical containers of solid-fibreboard. This insert is, according to Fig. 1 and 2, preferably designed as a container similar to a pail and consists of a deep-drawn plastic sheet. Inward-pointing spikes are arranged in the base of this container. The inside of the container is provided with a lamination whose bottom rests on the spikes. The thickness of this bottom corresponds to the height of the spikes. Fig. 1 shows the view in elevation of a disposable insert and Fig. 2 the plan view thereof. According to Fig. 1, the disposable insert consists of the container 1, whose inside is provided with a lamination 2 which consists of non-woven wadding.
