<p>A device for checking the lighting installation of transport vehicles comprises a casing (1) mounted on the guide (2) of a stand (3), an optical system (4) consisting of an objective (5) and a screen (6) with a control marking (7), which are mounted in the casing (1) whereas the screen (6) is placed in the focal plane of the objective (5), a measuring unit (8) connected with the optical system (4), a system (11) for orientation of the optical system in relation to the direction of movement of the transport vehicle. The system (11) consists of an adjusting mirror (12) with a sighting index (13) perpendicular to the optical axis of the objective (5) and of two mirrors (14, 15) of a view-finder, which are mounted hingedly on the casing (1) so that the axes of rotation of the two mirrors (14, 15) are parallel to each other and are located in the planes which are parallel to a vertical plane passing through the optical axis of the objective (5) of the optical system (4). A method of checking the lighting installation of transport vehicles includes orientation of the optical system (4) based on the image of the body (26) of the transport vehicle (25) by means of consecutive sightings, using the two mirrors (14, 15) of the view-finder, of the image of symmetrical points of the body (26) of the transport vehicle (25) on the adjusting mirror (12).</p> |
