<p>A compact disc case (60) for storing a compact disc (62). The disc is stored on a drawer (74) that slides into a shell (64). A lock (76) on the first drawer side (100) retains the drawer inside the shell in a closed locked position. When the lock is pushed toward the opposite lateral side (68) of the case, the lock releases the drawer from the locked position. A spring (86) between the rear (106) of the drawer and the rear (72) of the shell pushes the drawer out of the shell when the lock is released. The drawer has notches (92) along the sides (100, 102) allowing the disc to be grasped on the edges and removed from the drawer by spanning the disc across the top without touching and contaminating the faces of the disc.</p> |
