In a hearing aid having a microphone, a receiver and an electrical amplifier circuit, a holding device is provided which is used for holding the microphone within the auditory canal next to the eardrum. This holding device is suitably a hollow shell adapted to the contour of the auditory canal, which exhibits a sound outlet opening pointing towards the eardrum and is at least largely open at the front opposite to the sound outlet opening. The microphone is arranged in the area of the sound exit opening.
