The apparatus (10) for arranging components (30) on a carrier (12) has a table (14) on which the carriers (12) to be equipped are set down. A gripping arrangement (16) can be positioned in the x, y and z directions above these carriers (12) on the table (14). Arranged on one side of the table (14) are magazines (26) which contain the electrical, electronic or mechanical components. With the aid of the gripping device (20), the required components are removed from the magazines and set down on a turning, centring and measuring device (28). With the aid of this device (28), the components (30) are centred, turned into the required position and measured. If the measured value of a component (30) does not correspond to the required value this component is separated out. After the centring and turning, the component (30) is picked up with the aid of the gripping device (20) and moved above the attachment position on a carrier (12), where it is then set down. <IMAGE>
